A Cursive Memory x2
A Cursive Memory...
hmm where have you heard of that name?
Oh, here's where!
1. Shuan is Chris Profeta's brother, aka drummer of Hellogoodbye so there is much promotion through brotherly love<3
2. They've dominated MTV with their music being theme songs for several shows, even appearing on the Simple Life! hello Paris and Nicole! xoxo
3. Have you seen their music video for Everything? Nonstop footage of fooling around, hanging out with celebrities, it was one of the most hit viewed on Myspace! lyke omg hey Britney!!111
Went to both of their shows in the area this weekend and honestly I was shocked. They have such a large fan base but the show turn out..ehhh.
The Vibe Lounge in Long Island was pretty packed, local kids eventually found their way dancing to ACM's catchy tunes, but the Knitting Factory, a venue monument in New York City, oh there were probably less than 10 fans in attendance. Quite a shame, I feel so embarassed typing this.
But hey, it was probably because it was a Sunday night, and with ACM's fan base being a majority of underage kids...easy enough you do the math :)
PS. These guys are seriously great, bless their kind souls. Two girls attempted to go to their Sunday night show but found themselves kicked out right before they were supposed to play due to being caught attempting to buy drinks with fake id's....nice job ladies! So afterwards, Shaun and Colin played a mini-acoustic set for them in the RV afterwards.
Really, not aaaaall bands are bad guys with airheaded egos and holier than thou attitudes right?
....maybe.
Oh and another thing to keep in mind, if someone in a band is nice to you and you flat out diss the music industry, really that loses their respect so much. BIG NO-NO! especially if you're trying to get in their pants perhaps too? ;)
Gotta give a little to get a little.

Chillers Tour
Lineup: Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, A Day to Remember, Protest the Hero at Nokia Theatre Feburary 22nd
What can I say? When I found out about this tour and saw the roster, I knew it would be one I HAD to go to. Though Silverstein's lyrics are...pretty outdone for me now, I've been listening to them since I first got into the "scene" and they'll always have a place of respect in my heart. I try to see them every time they come around. Plus with always a kickass lineup, how could I not?
Even after all these years of generic bands, sounds and lyrics, Silverstein has still yet to cease drawing in the crowds. Watching the energy from the kids in the sold out pit was amazing. Reminded me of myself a couple years back...what happened? haha.
Before the show I did a shoot with Protest the Hero for Wonka Vision. The article has yet to come out so I will not publish any shots as of now. (note it's summer and i'm pretty sure the release has gotten pushed back again...maybe the september issue?)
A Day to Remember
The Devil Wears Prada
+ 2 Silverstein videos. I really tried to capture the crowd over the actual performance.
enjoy xo

Fall 08 Fashion Week coverage 3
Now Naeem Khan was my third and last show I attended for Fashion Week, and although I'll admit I'm not all that familiar with his work, I'll have to say it was still quite a thrill. His collection bedazzled of jewels and details, and *namedrop* Eva Longoria was in the house!
Being seated in the second row at the Promenade where the seats were ground level with the models, it truely was an eye opener to the fashion and modeling worlds.
Sure we all know that models are deathly skinny, but how often do you get to see it so up close in the works?
It really hit a bone...
