Chillers Tour

Lineup: Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, A Day to Remember, Protest the Hero at Nokia Theatre Feburary 22nd

What can I say? When I found out about this tour and saw the roster, I knew it would be one I HAD to go to. Though Silverstein's lyrics are...pretty outdone for me now, I've been listening to them since I first got into the "scene" and they'll always have a place of respect in my heart. I try to see them every time they come around. Plus with always a kickass lineup, how could I not?

Even after all these years of generic bands, sounds and lyrics, Silverstein has still yet to cease drawing in the crowds. Watching the energy from the kids in the sold out pit was amazing. Reminded me of myself a couple years back...what happened? haha.

Before the show I did a shoot with Protest the Hero for Wonka Vision. The article has yet to come out so I will not publish any shots as of now. (note it's summer and i'm pretty sure the release has gotten pushed back again...maybe the september issue?)

A Day to Remember

The Devil Wears Prada

+ 2 Silverstein videos. I really tried to capture the crowd over the actual performance.

Fall 08 Fashion Week coverage 3

Now Naeem Khan was my third and last show I attended for Fashion Week, and although I'll admit I'm not all that familiar with his work, I'll have to say it was still quite a thrill. His collection bedazzled of jewels and details, and *namedrop* Eva Longoria was in the house!
Being seated in the second row at the Promenade where the seats were ground level with the models, it truely was an eye opener to the fashion and modeling worlds.

Sure we all know that models are deathly skinny, but how often do you get to see it so up close in the works?
It really hit a bone...

Fall 08 Fashion Week coverage 2

Want elegance? Go to Vera Wang.

*namedrop* spotted Anna Wintour in the audience of course. Managed to get a shot of her quickly running out with her body guard the second the show ended.

Fall 08 Fashion Week coverage

Betsey Johnson's Fall 08 runway show was just....well I'm speechless.

What more can I say? Every one of her shows never fails and is always a party!
With a front row packed of celebrities from Tyra Banks, Russell Simmons and Nigel Barker all at one table, to Leigh Lezark at the next, bright flashy outfits that I would kill to have, upbeat loud music to the theme of "Beat Chick", its a wonder how my mind didn't blow up from trying to capture everything in.

Plus, it was also Betsey's 30th anniversary so in conjunction with her Fall 08 collection being presented, she went back to the past and remodeled all her favorite designs from the past three decades. Some were cute...and yes some were umm..quite tacky? but hey, vintage is vintage and there is much to find respectable about even if a piece is quite the ugly. That's my view.

2 shows in one, a total success
You go girl and Happy Birthday!
